It is during these times that we need to enhance our networks, build even greater solidarity & synergy and forge a clearer vision of the road ahead. With these movement building practices in mind, I share the following message about our 2025 Organic Seed Growers Conference that nourishes our work around seed justice as a foundation to food and agriculture justice.
Furthermore, we recognize that our country’s fundamental contradiction of injustice is based upon stolen land from Indigenous peoples and stolen labor from African peoples to do agriculture and food ways. So, this weaving together of land, seeds, food and agriculture represents the fulcrum point for deeper and more profound social transformation.
So, as weavers, we invite your participation, solidarity and visions for our justice-filled future as we convene around the theme: “Weaving Visions of Organic Seed Communities”.

I am trusting that everyone is in good health with productive spirits and excitement for the work ahead of us this coming year as we face lots of uncertainty with particular challenges in the seed and agriculture sectors. But our important work continues and through our strengthened networks, we will respond positively to any challenges that come our way.
